I have seen several posts here regarding hooking up an equalizer to an amplifier using the tape monitor, but nothing specific about what I don't know.
I have a Pioneer SG-9500 equalizer hooked up to a Pioneer SA-708 amp via tape 2. I followed the instructions on the manual, etc, and it's working fine if I switch on the tape 2 monitor on the amp (ie: phono, aux, tuner and my tape deck outputs all get equalized).
However, I have another tape deck hooked up to the tape 1 on the amp, so I need to change the monitor switch to tape 1 on the amp to listen to tapes. Thing is, the output doesn't get equalized.
I think it makes sense, but does it? The tape 1 output won't ever get equalized?
