Empty Head
Hello gang,
I can't seem to figure out how to equalize the volume when making CD's from my old vinyl and cassettes. I have a "cheap" TEAC cd recorder, and it works fine copying CD's but when making a CD from vinyl the volume is much lower. It has an input volume control, but it only has a "defeat" to lower it, not increase. The old cassette was easy as it could be adjusted to any volume. I tried using an equalizer, turning all the bands up and still no luck, even with the EQ record switch on. It is not a big problem when listening to the CD itself, you just crank up the volume, but when they get put into MP3 form and placed on an Ipod or Zune, you can barely tell there is a song playing. Also when making "mix" CD's one song will blow your head off and you can't hear the next.
any ideas? is it just my Cheez-Wiz recorder or does anyone else have the same problem? By the way, love you all!
