ESS AMT1e Speakers from Europe

I stumbled on a sale in German Ebay for ESS AMT 1e speakers which were a special design limited edition version sold only in the EU. The ESS CEO in 1990, Joe Dallal, used a German design firm in the Munich area named Delcop. They are apparently no longer in business but they were responsible for the cabinet and crossover design. The seller, guy named Horst was a speaker review editor for a German HIFI mag at that time. He says he also had input into the design. The cabinet is MDF which ESS was not using yet in their domestic products at that time. The crossover has changeable parameters by plug changes and can be separated for bi-amping. The Heil, woofer and passive were apparently the same as in US speakers.
What is interesting to me is a baffle structure around the Heil. For those that complain about rear radiation from the Heil, maybe that helps keep it separated.
Horst is very high on the Great Heil and likes this version better than newer Heils from other makers. He thinks the original Heil is more listenable with the newest versions from other makers being too aggressive. He also like the newest diaphragm version better than older versions.
So, sorry for the poor picture quality. Hopefully you can find the ad on German ebay which is still active if you want more information.
For me, as an ESS collector, I just thought the whole thing was very interesting. Maybe others will as well.

Hi Jeff: These would be nice to have but, shipping several hundred pounds from Germany is not something I'm willing to tackle. I'm still trying to learn from our good friend Wolverine on how to make good acquisitions frugally.
