ESS Nines sounding much better..

I finally received 2 new tweeters for my Nines and I must say that having two proper matching paper cone tweeters make a huge difference. These speakers came with paper cone Peerless tweeters and that is exactly what they should always have in them.
Smashing Pumpkins-Gish album sounds cleaner tonight compared to last night when I still had the mismatched set in.Well worth the effort to replace.

Congrats! Those peerless cone tweeters are actually pretty good sounding. I had a pair of Infinity speakers with the Walsh tweeter (Column II?) with those and I was always impressed by their sound. I've got a pair of ESS AMT 6 pro that I recently acquired for less than a song (a verse maybe) and even with replacement woofers they are amazing sounding.
 
I'm a big fan of Peerless cone tweeters, they are one of the best cone tweeters that I've heard. I'm also a fan of ESS speakers, can you post a picture? I'm not too familiar with nines. Congrats!
 
Thanks for posting the pictures. They are definitely classic ESS, slab sided with the heavy maroon grill cloth. Same as my AMT3s.
