ESS PS-8 Crossovers & Drivers

Boto

Curmudgeon In Training
Does anyone know the capacitor values for the old ESS Performance Series 8 speakers from the late 70's? I'd like to find out if anyone else has re-furbed these speakers and what changes they may have made to the crossovers. I need to re-foam the drivers. Has anyone changed them to something else instead repairing the old ones?

I ended up getting the information from ESS that I was looking for: They were very helpful. They sent me a pdf of the schematics of the original crossover. If anyone else has these the values are:

C1 is 7.5 µf. C2 is 19µf.

19µf seems like a tough value to obtain. I saw that parts express has 18 & 20µf but no 19µf. I'm thinking that a 5% 20µf might be the best option.

Supposedly, +/- 10% is okay. Personally, I like to get as close as possible. If it takes 3 or 3 caps ganged together, so be it. A 10 and 2-4.7's is closer than a 20.

Checking Parts Express I see that Solen makes a 10, 4.3 & 4.7, which would be 19 exactly. That'll be a bit bulky, but I'll probably find a way to make it fit. It seems the Dayton's are a bit smaller. I could go with a 10, 3.3 & 5.6 to get 18.9. Does anyone have any thoughts on which would be the better choice? They both seem to be good options.
