EV Speakers TL606DX: Need Help Identifying Installed Drivers

I found 4 of these speakers at the dump! They are heavy as hell, but we managed to get them out of the dumpster and home.

The cabinets are pretty shot but intact and still solid. No signs of mold or mildew.

I hooked them up to an older JVC receiver pushing maybe 150 watts and these speakers sounded fantastic, tremendous sound.

I am trying to determine the value of these so I opened them up to see what was inside.

These don't appear to be EV drivers and I was not able to find out anything about them on my own based on my own research.

I am not an audiophile, and in fact, just learned they are called drivers! LOL.

I was hoping someone might be able to help me in identifying the installed drivers. I have included photos of the only markings I could find on them.

I appreciate your help in advance.

Troy

Any reason these wouldnt have a EV "label" on them instead of this number that looks like some kind of military code?

I sent a message to EV tech support and they replied they couldnt find a model number that matched that number on the speaker. I sent them all the photos I posted here and they haven't responded in a couple weeks now, so I am still in the unknown. I appreciate your insight. I hope I can verify, or at least be more comfortable in saying they are genuine EV drivers. These speakers are WAY more than I need in my 12 x 16 cabin, so I'd like to sell them, but, would like to be able to say with some degree of certainty or speculation, what it is I am dealing with. They really do sound great, I wish I could use them.

I did hear back finally from Electro Voice tech and they verified that the drivers installed are the EV DL15X. I wrote back asking when they were made. So, the second half of my question. What are these worth?

They may have started life with a different cone kit in those woofers- but what's in there- especially the type of fine-fold corrugated surround- looks like a classic EVM15B kit. Essentially, as they are, they are effectively EVM15Bs, if that's the case.

EDIT: I looked up the EV DL15X, and it basically has a cone that is like a 15B, just with a heavier pulped-paper cone, so the appearance holds together to that being a DL15X kit. It would also have a longer voice coil winding (about a 0.625" winding length, as opposed to the approximately 0.45" winding length in a 15B). Significantly more output at very low frequencies.

Regards,
Gordon.
