I bought a pair of vintage Electro-Voice "Leyton" speakers at an estate sale. Does anyone know anything about them? I would like to refinish them but I don't know how to take them apart. I can get the back off but then things become really complicated. Thanks.

I have a pair of those. What is the problem with taking them apart? Once you get the back off, take the speakers out from behind.
 
I worked on them again and got the box off the bottom speaker so that I can take both the speakers out. How do you take the grill off? Thanks.
 
The grille does not come off. If yours are ugly, maybe you should just buy mine. Mine look nice, but one woofer is bad.
