Exit one President, enter a Fisher Executive

Seeing as I own (3) 1958 Fisher President's, I needed to diversify my collection. So, I made a deal to acquire to a Fisher Executive, but it cost me one President and other things to make it happen.

I wasn't a 100% sold on the Executive, till it arrived. Wow, this thing is cool. I have never owned a Sony reel to reel that is tube. The cabinet is great condition, with a glass top. I was happily surprised it worked but it will require a recap.

For a smaller console, this is very nice piece.

I saw that on Facebook. Didn't realize you traded one of the President tho. VERY NICE Executive.

Yeah, didn't want to trade initially, but when the pot got sweeter, I had to pull the trigger. I will say that there (2) Magnavox Concert Grands involved as well. So, you kind understand want was on the table.

Plus, factor in that the market for a high end totl rare Fisher President is small.

Beautiful... that r2r is great when it works. Mine has been down for the count for over a year...

Hey, one quick question on the Fisher Master Control Amplifier, Model X-101, what size is the front light? Mine is burnt out and it needs to be replaced.

thanks in advance.

No -- in the X-101, it's a small screw-in type like used in the 400C preamp for its indicator lamps: Technically it is a "T-1 3/4 sub-miniature lamp". #1775 for 6.3 volt operation.
