I have no clue how it happen, I've never had the hood open.
I had sent it to Audio Video Service in VA(no affl) for repair 2 years ago.
I wished I'd kept the damn receipt so I would've known what they did.
It's been working perfect until....
...recently the stations would not stay tuned, one memory channel would play another memory channel's station. So forth and so on.
I did some Service Manual digging and found the diode to be Pioneer part no. 10DF2FD
What would be a good replacement, if any?
I doubt that will fix the other problems, but what the heck, I'll try it.
(just in case you're wondering why the hood is open now, I was gonna part-out with it, rosewood sides, etc etc....until I found the broke diode, and thought I would post this to the forum
