Fair price for Marantz 4270 quad receiver?

Hi all,

What would be a fair price for Marantz 4270 quad receiver? The person says he is the original owner and it's in mint condition. A lamps and channels working without wood cabinet. He's asking $300 or best offer.

In the archives the last one went on eBay for $280. It didn't say if it had a wood cabinet, just said it was in excellent condition. HTH.
 
In my opinion its the wooden case that should in some respects determin the price. I spent the eqivalent of 700USD on my 4270!!! They are very rare in Sweden and this piece is flawless. The dark walnut case does not have a mark anywhere.
I should also point out that everything works. All the lamps, all the channels, all the buttons...you gey my point.
Mine is at present on dislay and out of reach of my kids in my music room and is used as a radio and phono preamp.
Would i pay 700USD again...YES I WOULD
