Fake 40th anniversary MC275

I just came across a taiwan/chinese website talks about a fake 40th anniversary MC275, please beware. (sorry it's in Chinese)

The Chicoms can replicate anything - I go there every year. From beer to cameras, they do it. I have never seen a fake Mc275 or I would have bought it. The '60s technology is right up their hutong alley - I doubt it took very much as I have seen them replicate circuit boards in 12 hours. Next time I will be on the hunt for one of these - I can only speculate that the power supplies and output transformers are wanting. I suspect the Chicom autoformers are single-wound affairs with cheap imitation copper.

True, it's amazing what they can do (I never seen any faked McIntosh to be honest) and yet they put all the effort to fake a product while they could be spent to invent their own product instead.

This auction last year seemed strange. The amp had a sticker with the serial number. The others I had seen were engraved. I would think a counterfeit should have a similar badge, so maybe this one was just 'hot'. The price was ridiculously low, like below $2k.

Amazingly they can replicate Russian Mig 27's, 29's , Sukoi Su30,s,
Jeeps, BMW's, Rolex watches and many other things. MC 275 should be childs play. Very resourceful people indeed.

The lead dress is certainly one difference among a lot of others maybe someone who works on mac's can tell. They sure look different. Good pictures.

Note the "fake" one contains some Solen caps...

There is no such thing as a 40th anniversary MC275 and that is NOT a McIntosh built MC275 pictured.
