Friend gave me a Marantz SR-96 today, was wondering if someone might be able to offer a little advice?, When I turn up the volume it starts to run away(keeps increasing) unless I give the knob a slight turn to the left and it stops, it doesn't happen when I turn it down nor when I set it to a desired volume. Does this sound like the volume switch might be dirty or something a little more nefarious?
The second thing is I'm having trouble getting my second set of speakers working in stereo mode, could anyone tell me if I have to activate the second set using the remote control? As luck would have it no operators manual came with it, although I'm not complaining.
