It's a Delmonico. Not a brand I know. Seller dates it to 'the sixties.'

Nice looking as it is, I think they are over-optimistic in asking $500 for it....

 by a couple of hundred at least ! ! you should see the amps in those things....not what you'd expect !

Delmonico International was a Long Island City based importer of both Japanese and German electronics from the late 50's to mid 60's.

No disrespect to Relaximus but I cut my teeth on German tube stereo's and I do not find recapping German tube stereos to be too difficult.

Japanese hand held transistor radios, now they scare me

I wish there were pictures of the insides

Definitely mid century cool to the max

I've recapped my Grundig Majestic console and it was (IMHO) no where near as easy as your average Maggie amp. They pack a LOT of stuff into those receiver chassis.

The only Delmonico console I've seen used surprisingly cheap speakers and a cheap looking tube amp.

way high like a Grundig high gloss glorified oversized table radio. but then some of the
us sets of the day were also. Most of the good ones were the better Magnavox,RCA and ,Zenith models and some others. On the higher end Fisher,Ampex, and of course the customs .

Well, we can't tell unless we get a look under the covers

I'm going to ask for more pictures

email sent

I will post if I get a response

I had a Delmonico. I forget the actual manufacturer's name. Low power German receiver, very small speakers, Telefunken TT - and, no: their turntables ain't as good as their tubes or their mics...
The amp had some very nice German tubes. In varieties you'll never use in anything else.
