Faulty tube, which one to replace, there are so many?

i have some old ones in service as well, but I would not sell a unit as "restored" with old ones in it. At an absolute minimum, they would get a full checkup to verify if they are operating in spec for value and leakage. I'm also keenly aware that just because its working today doesn't mean it will keep going.
 
I agree, I certainly would not call it restored with 50 y.o. power filter caps. Sure, some will 'reform' but they're potential to fail will always be there. Plus, with a completely rebuilt power supply it just sounds and plays so much better.

Unless you're spinning vinyl, pull V16 and V17 - needless waste of two good tubes and unnecessary added load on the bias supply.

I swapped the tubes from the V16 & V17 slots into the V14 & V15 to see if they were at fault, but it didn't change anything.
I also DeOxit the AUX connectors in the back.

Is there a recommended tech that everyone here recommends to repair Fisher 500c?
I remember hearing that there were a few Audiokarma members who did repairs.
