Favorite 12AU7's

Its Teles that have a diamond on the bottom. That said, my favorite 12AU7 type is the Amperex 7316 from 1959-1960 with the small halo getter. Great detail great tone, smooth and sweet. I like these better than any other including the earlier D getter type, in most applications.

Ok I pulled the smooth plates and rolled in some vintage stock Amperex with a slanted ring getter. What an amazing difference. The smooth plate tubes were to bright. Things are improving immensely.
