You ever watch Sabotage Literal video? Look it up.. once you do, you'll never hear the original the same way again... :para:

all the spike jonze videos are so sweet. favorite video however is burning down the house. love the little kid shaking it on stage.

Johnny Cash: "Hurt."
Talk about coming to terms with life; great video....the shot where they use footage of him as a young man looking in at himself through the window of the same house "Hurt" is shot in, is just heartbreaking.

The Squirrel Nut Zippers: "Hell."
Outrageously tacky and funny video in support of a song that, once heard, will refuse to leave your head for days. Neo-swing with a mad attitude.
Video has been blocked on YouTube (no audio.)

Bright Eyes: "At the Bottom of Everything."
Possibly the only music video to see a commercial plane crash as a desirable problem-solver for the characters. Terence Stamp is featured along with Super-8mm frame animation, many off-the-wall scenes and an insanely cheery melody supporting Connor Oberst's acerbic lyrics.

The Seekers: "The Shores of Avalon."
Haunting song, haunting video shot on wind-swept island in the middle of the ocean. B/W imagery to complement the lyrics. Hard to find in a good-quality version, but worth it if you like Judith and company.

"Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring...I THINK I remember seeing the European version, right at the climax, the girls in teddies had SS markings on 'em...That didn't make it in our version. Also, they showed a Checker Marathon as the "Big, Ominous Car"...Couldn't they have found a 1966-70 Caddy limo ?!?

I'm a sucker for those vids of early British invasion bands. Girls going nuts for long haired punks doing American blues tunes. Who wudda thunk it.

I have Wendy O Williams ~ It's My Life on VHS somewhere

WOW ~ F**k That Booty is kinda hot too

This is an old thread, but better to add to it than start another. Here are three of my favorite videos from the glory days of MTV, before it started to suck. ;)
