After reading a post in another AK forum I decided to create this poll to see what everyone's favorite Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers would be.
Due to the lack slots for all of the choices I was not able to add his solo albums or the last two TP&THB albums...
Mojo and Hypnotic Eye.
There would have to be a separate poll for his solo albums which does include some of his best work.
I look forward to seeing everyone's choices.

"You're Gonna Get It" is short and sweet. "Damn The Torpedoes", Full Moon Fever", "The Last DJ" and "Hypnotic Eye" are right up there as well.

Technically speaking, Full Moon Fever, Wildflowers, and Highway Companion are Tom Petty solo records. The OP asked about TP and the Heartbreakers.
 
Hypnotic Eye and Full Moon Fever are tops of my list. The others are usually good as well. Hypnotic Eye was such a huge surprise, the more I listen the more I like. Sins Of My Youth is in my top 5 Petty songs.
 
Yeah, I would have liked to have added all of his solo LPs as well as Mojo and Hypnotic Eye...but there are limitations on the number of choices you have in a poll.
So I had to leave off the last two albums as well as the solo albums. Although technically they're not really solo since most of the Heartbreakers played on each of them. ;)

Actually, they are technically solo albums because they are credited as such. Consider the Heartbreakers that play on them session musicians for the albums.

Anyway, if we can include solo albums, my favorite is Wildflowers.

Wildflowers is actually one of favorite albums period.

With the heartbreakers credit I would vote for "Damn the Torpedoes". There is huge energy that comes from these tracks. Possibly driven by the frustrations involved with his recording contracts of the time?

I fully agree on both points, "Wildflowers" is fantastic and "Damn the Torpedoes" is rock & roll in it's purest form.
