A Ferrari wins Le Mans (hypercar, prototype). First time in quite a while.

Yep. I saw it running early Sunday morning with a bunch of LMP2 cars. The Camaro was right behind them and when they approached a chicane, of course the LMP2 cars scooted ahead. But, after that on the straight the Camaro cruised right up behind them again. Quite impressive.Great job
That Camaro was flying all day

Great sound from that Camaro.

Corvette Racing's C8 wins the GTE class. Yes, first in class.

Hendrick Motorsports Camaro as Garage 56's entry won its class (only car running) and finished 39th overall. Not too shabby.
Jimmie Johnson, Mike Rockenfeller and Jenson Button driving.

If the Toyota wouldn't have hit a squirrel the Ferrari didn't have a chance. But that's endurance racing. Congrats to Ferrari.
I wasn't impressed with the Nascar personally. Everyone it touting it as being "surprisingly better" than the GT AM cars but it was built to be better than those cars. That was all just marketing BS for the American audience. The fact that it didn't "win" the AM class tells you everything. 150+ more horsepower better all around purpose built from the ground up and you couldn't even beat production homologation cars. I did think it was funny that the European broadcasts and Radio Le Mans (outside of a mandatory driver interview) nearly completely ignored the G56. Nobody cared. Just another HA HA dumb Americans moment for modern Le Mans. Ugh I still remember the farce that was the whole Darrel Waltrip stuff from a few years back.
If WEC wants to make endurance racing more popular in the US they just need to make it more accessible don't lock it behind a paywall (at least until you build the audience). Back when the first 4 hours and last 4 hours were on speed channel Le Mans got great viewership. Since speed channel went down nobody else has ever picked it up well enough and now having it locked behind a paywall nobody new is going to stumble upon it only those who already know.
Agreed. The Nascar thing was a novelty. I think they covered it (on Radio Le Mans) as it should have been. A mention here and there, but it's not really racing anything but the clock, so I didn't pay any attention to it.
I used to have a subscription to Motortrend TV or whatever they were calling it. Got to watch the original shows, which I liked, and the mountain of your run o' the mill garage shows were bought/added too, which I didn't care about.
When I tried to access Motortrend TV to watch the race, they requested info on my TV subscription, which I don't have. Tried to figure out how to subscribe, but there isn't a way to do it I could see. That seems like it restricts your audience, but they're running with it so I figured out an alternative.
Every year it seems like I go through the same thing. I have to scramble to figure out how to watch. When it was on Motortrend (subscription service) it was fine, but that was only a few years. Prior to that it was buying access to watch from FIA/WEC, although I can't recall if someone else owned the rights to the race in the US. I was always using VPNs and proxies. Don't remember details.
MotorTrend TV is easy to subscribe to if you have a Roku or Amazon Firestick.
