Photo 2 tried with different size and resolution, every time it says file is too large, even downsized to 800x480 and 800kb
Tried few other photos and its the same situation

Yes, although I could upload some pictures. Strange thing is that I could upload one with 8,2 Mb size but not one with 7,9 Mb. But I managed to upload with lower resolution.
I have no idea what is happening. Just keep trying ;).

There are some Forum 'resolution' and 'file size' limits - I forget what they are, but it's a long time since I have had a problem and I post quite a lot of pictures. ;)

Some photos are 4000x3000 wmover 4mb and they are uploaded, and some downsized to 800x480 and less than 1mb can not be posted, im sure its temporary problem

Depends on the file type too. PNG has smaller allowed files than JPG.

Like i said, seems its not correspond with file weight and resolution
Since I succesfull uploaded JPG photo with 4000x300 resolution and over 4mb and then i cant post photo with downgraded resolution to 800x480 and less than 1mb

I think the forum software attempts to resize pictures that are posted, (although that may be for Avatars only?), so it may be that some resolutions/file types/sizes cannot pass through this process.

NB: I always use JPG files, which I resize smaller, usually by 50% using W10 'Paint 3D' - this also performs the useful function of reducing the file size.

I dump my iPhone pictures in a folder on my Mac mini, then can upload them here with no issue.
This image of rocks I rearranged near my pond is 4032 × 3024, and is a 5.3 meg JPG in that folder.
Once I upload it, the AK forum software reizes it and, I believe, compresses it.

I DO have to downsize images on some non-Audiokarma forums,
some sites have limits of 2Meg or so.

IIRC, the forum software automatically sizes large images to no larger than 900 pixels per side.

So, I usually just do that beforehand- resize them to where they're no larger than 900 pixels in either direction. At that time, I can see if I need to crop and/or do anything else to make it readable or clearer. Sometimes, in the case of a schematic- I will split it up into two images- both of which will be 900 or less pixels per side. That way, tiny text doesn't just turn into two or three pixel-wide blurs.

The good thing about that, is that I never get "file too large" errors...

Regards,
Gordon.

I recently started to encounter the same issue.

I never had this issue at all until recently. I have to resize my photos down to something like 400x320 to attach them now. Before, I didn't have to resize them at all.

I'm using the same phone to take the pics, using the same camera settings, etc.

Also, I cannot insert photos anymore. Either the insert thumbnail option isn't there, or when you click it, nothing happens.

I have up upload the attachment, click on it, copy the address from my address bar, and insert it manually with the img tags.
