Hi all,
I am searching for filter capacitors for my SX-1010.
The usual recommended replacement was Nichicon 18000uF, 75V (https://www.digikey.de/en/products/detail/chemi-con/E36D750MLN183TC79M/2095945), but it is long time out of stock.
One option that I found is these 18000uF 63V from Nichicon as well: https://www.digikey.at/en/products/detail/chemi-con/ESMH630VRT183MB50U/13247255
They are pretty cheap, but smaller size, so I will need to do something about it.
And more expensive option is https://www.digikey.at/en/products/detail/cornell-dubilier-knowles/DCMC203U100BC2B/2538263
The more expensive option (Cornell Dubilier Knowles) is 20000uF, and it has a tolerance of -20 to +75%. I guess that small increase in value (+2000uF) will not do much bad job, but if you put 75% tolerance on top of it, this can be significant difference. I am afraid that it can burn my high current rectifier with huge in-rush current.
However:
- @markthefixer mentioned in this post that original capacitors have tolerance up to +80%
- The "original" replacement from Nichicon also has tolerance -10% to +50% (one that is not in stock anymore)
I would appreciate any information and suggestion.
