Okay, actually it’s my second- but my first I had two decades ago and never got working because it needed a tube and I didn’t know wtf I was doing.
I’ve been looking for one for a while, but shipping on eBay just kills any deals out there. So, I’ve been patiently waiting for this year’s ham radio swap meet in hopes of finding one. Walked through the entire place and didn’t see anything appealing, gave up, and spotted this on my way out.
It’s a Tektronix 7704a and came with a box of modules for $100 total.
I’m looking forward to to learning how to use it, a big part of that will come from the various oscilloscope tutorial threads on this site. Yay for new toys!

That’s the hope. I was told all but the 7b70 dual time base were fully functional.

Slot1: 7A18
Slot2: no
Slot3: no
Slot4: 7B50

Scope buttons: vertical to Left , trig source to A
give him music from cinch, 1V or like that, to the probe or directly in the 7A18.
7A18: coupling to AC

look if you can watch that on the screen, make some playing adjust..

You are in need for a probe, better 2 of them, 1M Ohm 10x

google for "Tek Wiki" and download there the manual.

I have no idea what I’m doing with this but it’ll be fun learning. Everything seems to light up and stuff so that’s a good sign. o_O
Probes arrived today, am hoping to have some time free tomorrow evening to try to actually get a trace on the screen and get a basic understanding of it.

And responds appropriately to the calibration test voltage points.
Now I just hafta learn how to use it.

I had a 7000 series scope before I bought my 2445A. I really liked it; large CRT, sharp display.

I had a 7B53 dual time base plug in. To do X/Y, I had to pull it out and stick a vertical module in its place. I don't think you need to do that; it looks like you have 7B50 time base plugs, and those appear to have an external input and an amplifier mode switch. You should be able to just flick the mode switch to amplifier on the time base plug and feed a signal into the external input.

Note the mainframe must be powered down before changing plug in''s, as the plug in's are not hot swappable.

You can get up to 4 traces at once with that scope. Something that sounds useful but I actually never had the need to do.

For the Latent Mr Wizard in most ALL of us overgrown, overage 8 yr old Boys... But, Zhit, I have a couple, 3 of 'em, too... Had a Spectrum Analyser, ended up givin' it to Kent T... If you DON'T want/Need one, Stay the Hell away from Fair Radio Sales Co, Inc, in Lima, Ohio... They have All Manner of Schtuff us Budding Mad Scientist types have ABSOLUTELY no use whatsoever at all for...Mbwahahahaha....
