Finding a preamps for the Sumo Andromeda 2

I am a bit out of my league here, so be kind, please?
My cousin asked me to find a preamp for his Sumo Andromeda 2.
I had never heard of the beast, but when I stared it in the eyes on the interweb, I got very quiet. So I guess you guys and dolls just start shouting out names without thinking of price and or specifications?
If anyone has a solid reason for his or her choice please state that in your comment.

It should sound good with a passive preamp for digital sources, and a tubed phono stage ..
