Finding that perfect audio rack....

I have been struggling to find a audio rack/table/stand for my set up. I have something very specific in my head, but can't seem to find anything that matches it.

I would like a rack that has a cabinet on the bottom, and three shelves on top. It has to be solid wood for the cabinet. The shelves can be made of wood or glass( glass preferred), but I want an open design. Perhaps tubular metal connecting the shelves to the cabinet. I would like it to look modern/contemporary. Love mid century and European design ( IKEA).

This is almost perfect. Same issue with it being too tall and too much space between the shelves. Also would want the shelves to be the same size as the cabinet top.

Browse Ikea. Some very cool stuff. I saw one posted that was a metal frame and top with glass all around. You could leave out some or all the glass I guess. Kind of a cool 40's kitchen look.
 
hard to find the perfect rack.
only sure way is to design it yourself and attempt to build it.
if you can do woodwork that is.
what I chose was the metal ''bakery'' racks from home depot and many other places.
totally flexable in H, W , shelf spacing. chrome or black. both look good.
Mine are 18" sqr by about 6 ft with 4 shelves each. totally open for air, with wheels.
works for me.
 
AudioAdvisor sells Salamander racks. They're modular, so you can build exactly what you described (cabinet on bottom, shelves on top). Very sturdy, I've had mine for probably 20 years. Very steady too.

No affiliation with either AudioAdvisor or Salamander. I liked my rack so much, I gave one to each of my kids. Not crazy for the drawer kit, the slides failed after a few years.
