The Reference 6's were the first really "good" speakers I owned and my first purchase of a "high end" company's products. (Despite the speakers themselves being entry level.) I'm still sad that I never noticed the foam rot...which caused the woofer and one of the mid-range drivers cones to crack and split when I cranked it up especially loud one day. By that point, there were no replacement drivers available. I could have done the refoam, if I only had caught it before the cracking. I probably would still have the speakers. That will teach me to leave the grills on!
