First system troubleshooting: Sanyo JCX-2100k

Hi all. Just got into vintage audio and picked up a cheap Sanyo JCX-2100K. Upon powering on I find that the left channel is perfect. The Right channel however is much lower and sounds like it doesn’t get the power to it. When going to around middle volume it makes loud popping static noises like it’s cutting in and out. I have tried it on other sources besides the tuner and get the same result. I have sprayed deoxit in all switches and pots and gave them all a good massage for my first step. Still the same result. I have a service manual I pulled up online but this is my first time looking at one of these. I’m pretty good with working on stuff but know my limits and when to ask for help and guidance. Any insights or past experiences with these to give to me will be extremely appreciated. I thank anyone in advance.

Reads a bit like dying silicon or speaker relay if fitted, will dig up the sm.
edit are you using the KZ service manual?
 
The unit is IC based, IC701/801(TA7129) for preamp IC702/802 (STK027).
Fuse, no protection relay.

Doubtful that it's power supply since the left channel is fine. To track down you will need some tools, ideally an oscilloscope. You might be able to get away with a multimeter.

Clip meter probe on right channel speaker fuse 801, set to DC volts 20V scale. Crank up the volume and expect a burst on the meter, now you know what the fault looks like. Now connect probe the either leg of R835 and repeat, you may need to change scale to 2V or... Then repeat for R820 or pin 2 the right channel input, see schematic.

Mbz thanks for the reply. Took me a minute to find it on the board. I am extremely new at reading the schematics. The multimeter I have is a harbor freight special and gives me issues just for plain use. I’ve order a better one but probably got to buy some hook probes to be able to safely test. Everyone has said in my intro post to put this question in the solid state page so I will do that over there. Thank you for your help so far!
