First time DAC buyer.....maybe,Help please

So,ive heard so much about dacs the last few years that im thinking of getting one.
But here is the dilema:

I have a regular somewhat vintage audio system consisting of,

Sansui AU/TU 717
Pioneer RT 707
Project TT(which will not be involved in this)
Marantz SD 4000 Cassetts deck
Philips bluray which i play CD's thru
DBX 2015g EQ
Stacked Hereseys

I want to get a Dac which will only go thru my bluray AND my blutooth which i just play music from Amazon Music.

I am looking to spend no more than 200.00 as i am budget strapped.
I need a "guide" to help me choose and how to hook up.
I think just the blutooth and bluray(cd) player would be involved in the audio part.

Would it be feasable to hook another one to my Surround system as i play more music concerts than movies.
Btw,Eagles Farewell Tour 1 is my favorite.

Would it be worth my while to hook a. Dac on this system or should i just forget about it.Here is info on my surround setup.

Pioneer VSX 1124 receiver
Klipsch RC7 center
Klipsch RP 600m fronts
Klipsch KHO surround
Klipsch KSB 3.1 rear surounds
(3 )3KSW 12 subs

It's the other way around; your BDP and BT will go through the DAC. The digital output from BDP (presumably SPDIF optical at CD rate 44k1/16bit) will feed the DAC's digital input. Your BT receiver presumably has an SPDIF digital output, too (there are better quality ways of streaming Amazon than BT, too).

A DAC may not necessarily improve your sound... I presume you currently feed the analogue outputs from BDP and BT built-in DACs into your preamp.

I have my BT,bluray,r to r and cassette all into one splitter and the out is going to the eq which in turn goes to tape 1 on the 717.I found that quite easy switching from the switcher as i did not have enough ins in the amp.
I think i just have a problem with the blutooth part,does not sound good,maybe thats what im after because the playing cds thru the bluray sounds quite good.

BT won't sound good, because it uses lossy compression, and, depending on which BT audio profile it is using, it could be a fairly low bitrate lossy compression. That's assuming you're paying for a reasonable resolution from Amazon.

If you are after lossless Amazon streaming, then the Wiim streamer may suit you; see the long thread on the Digital Sources subforum. It will cut out the phone I assume you are using to stream and BT to some BT device, and allow your phone to become a mere controller, with the actual stream going straight to the Wiim.

The Wiim Pro also has a digital input and an aux analogue input, so you could send the BDP and R2R to it, and use it as a source selector, too...

Well within your budget at $150.

Just to be clear, your system already has a couple DACs in it. Anytime there's a digital source coming out of speakers, there's a DAC involved. There's one in the Blu-ray player and there's one in the AV receiver. So when using those two components at least, the only reason to get an external DAC would be if you thought it would be an improvement over the internal DACs.

Bluetooth is kind of a separate issue. As mentioned above, if your goal is to get the best sound you can from your system, I would not use Bluetooth. And I second the Wiim suggestion, either the Pro or the Mini, which is even cheaper. Both Wiims also have pretty decent DAC's built in, so you can try that way first and only get an external DAC if you feel the need.

You can try the Wiim products as already mentioned, but I doubt if you'll hear much, if any improvement over the DACs that are already in your receiver and Blu-ray player. You'll need to move higher up the DAC and/or streamer price chain. I agree that Bluetooth is NOT the way to get the best digital sound from your system.
