ok, here i go...
Never posted a single item before and never owned a mac.
just bought an mx132 and sold my ead ovation 8-my primary reason for doing so was two fold. Not being able to turn a knob (my wife hates it more) and the ead, while having stellar dacs, only has analog via 32 pin connecter that uses cheap tara cable. It sounded cut off at the knees.

while i have a descent grasp of mac gear, it is based on tube.
As this pc is ss, I know very little about it.
Actually bought it because it looks great and it's a mac.
I like movies but feel that they all sound pretty cool. 2 chan is key and i am hoping that the analog section of this unit will not let me down.

If anyone can offer some insite, I would be greatful.
also sold my Etude FM tuner because this unit has the fm/am mod. probably wont outshine the etude, but i am sure it will be OK.

Welcome Famoej!

Congrats on your Mx132, a beautiful piece which I almost got myself. Sorry can't offer much insight into it but to be honest, it sounds pretty similar to the later mc av amps. :music:

howie

thx-your my first responce-i'm a bit surprised that more people have not chimmed in.
well, the unit should get here next week!

I used to have a MX-132, I liked it a lot and enjoyed it tremendously. I upgraded to a MX-119, but miss the additional detailed display on the MX-132 like the MX-135 has....

Welcome to the Mc-addiction!

I have one and I love it, it does it all, surround, stereo, tuner, remote. I upgraded the remote to a MX-134 remote, it had a better display and lights, good for movie time. I really want a MX-135 remote, but the price was too much.
