Good morning all Merry Christmas and Happy holidays. Just joined today after spending the last two days doing my research on which TT to get. You all put out some great information and its been really helpful. Anyway i believe i got two i really like i need to decide on and Id love to hear your opinions . 1st Technics Sl-q200 with Stanton L500AL for 100 bucks

2nd. JVC L-A31 with a Shure TM2E for 80.

Sorry i dont really know much else but its probably going to be the only TT i buy as ill be getting my dads system down the road ... Listen to rock and hip hop. Definitely dont wanna damage my records
Thanks for any help

First turntable, exciting!

If it were me I'd go for the technics since it's quartz locked and comes with a decent cartridge! Assuming it's in good shape...

Have fun!
Very ..but upon searching its alooooot to take in. Im ready though..once i pick one. Definitely appreciate your input.

That MGA looks interesting, it looks like there's a receiver version and another with a turntable mounted on top (they used to do this in the mid-70's). As far as all-in-one's it looks better than the plastic junk I used to see all the time.

Good luck with the Technics, they're great, almost bullet proof tables, even the lower end.
