Fisher 1800 Receiver Information thread and roll call

Doesn't look like it's going anywhere! Thanks for the transformer wiring bulletin. I'll put it in my 1800 file for future reference.

I wiggled on the nut with needle nose pliers and it came out so no worries about it falling out at some point. I can just imagine the assembler looking at it and saying, ahhhh, it can stay there. :cool:
 
Yikes! Wouldn't want that rattling around around the B+ supply or the output tubes (or anything else)....Well spotted!

I wanted to add my 1800 to your list. I bought it about 10-12 years ago from a friend who bought it from the original owner. Unfortunately, I have no manual or paperwork. The Serial Number is 51642 T.

Yes, I have originally preserved, not modified. But HH Scott play better. Better than Fisher is the Scott 340a / b. I also listened to Scott 222a, 222b, 222c, Fisher 500b, 500c, 800c, 400. All Fisher and Sherwood amplifiers. Sonically the best Fisher 500c and 500b and then 400. Fisher 1800 = 800c.

Sorry, thought you said 800-C. Basically, 500-C is a 800-C without AM, 1800 is a 800-C with dual voltage capable power transformer. All should sound identical.
