Fisher 203 Repair

Hello :-)

Just bought a Fisher 203 for my first repair project.
the unit itself look fairly reasonable, with mild dents and im currently trying to figure out why the tuner is not working (still in progress).

my question is, if there are known sources for spare parts.
for example - the knobs are not original. someone just added new (and much bigger knobs). is there a place to find the original parts?

i really like this cute receiver and would very much like to restore it back to its original state.

Kind regards,
guy

Parts donor's are your only hope for replacement parts like knobs, etc.

Are you trained at all in electronics. Tuners are very complicated and get even good TECH's who have years of experience in trouble. Best to leave it in the hands of a old time tech who does RF (Radio Frequency) work who has the tools and equipment to diagnose tuner problems. Trying to fix it yourself 99.99999999% of the time ends up with a tuner that is more out of tune or unrepairable. Save yourself the hassle and find another unit that works 100% and use this one for parts. Or find a parts donor with a working tuner and have a tech transfer the Front end or IF/mpx board to yours.
