Fisher 400 phono issue

Ok, been using the turntable on a Fisher 400 , have an issue:
In stereo phono i am getting low output on one channel. In phono mono the channels equal out properly?
The result is the same in low phono input as well as high phono input..... Am i missing something obvious ( again?)

clean the Rotary Function switch. The fact that you are getting an equal signal in Mono vs. stereo points to this and or your RCA JACKS in the back. clean them and look for bad solder joints on the grounds and signal connections. Also try another set of RCACables btwn the TT and the 400, before we get into the hard stuff. One more thing. Lift the jumpers on the top of the unit to the space expander so they are up off the grounding connection of the RCA PLUG. Or pull them completely out and slip some heatshrink to all of the jumper except 1/4" on the ends. Then put them back in.

I wanna know what happens too, I have fixed too many problems by simply cleaning..Standing by for moral support..

OK, thanks guys..... I was experimenting with an eq in the reverb jacks so possibly........
I will pull and reseat .

OK turns out its a loose RCA on the turntable.... crimped it a tad and problem solved.
Cripes , this is the second bonehead post in a row for this forum...... How does that saying go again?........... Oh ya , " DOH! "

When I hear "cleaning", it reminds me to ask you guys what you use after CAIG D-5 ? I need a CAIG product that lubes the controls as well....ideas?

We ALL pull "Bonehead" posts. Don't knock yourself. Actually it gets you out of that circular rut you get yourself into and gets other ideas out there to try. It's a learning experience.

Al; Use Faderlube(F-5) after cleaning with D-5.
