Fisher 400 Wood Cabinet

I would use search but it is down for now. Anybody have a source for new production wood cabinets that fit a Fisher 400? I have the capability to build my own but my current list of projects and completion times outlast the average human's life expectancy.

They have them on fleabay ranging from 250-350ish. I'm in the same boat - I have a cabinetless 400 and I've been thinking about making my own but I haven't found a similar perforated metal vent yet. I have easy access to the round hole perforated sheets but I'd rather use something similar to the original. I'm also not mentally ready to part with $80 for a decent miter router bit to match the original cabinet construction. I really don't have a good excuse for not getting started because I own a 400 with the cabinet and working from the original is a lot easier than working from a drawing. Good luck on the search.

I have a gentleman here in Columbia that has made some for me. We have gone through a period of learning but he has the 400/500/800 size down pretty well right now.
I don't know if he wants to deal with shipping and all but it can’t hurt to ask. If you’re interested, pm me and I’ll give you his number and you can work it out with him. Also that is with no screen (but the channel is there for you) and no feet. You would have to go over all of that. The holes are drilled for mounting screws and there are cooling cut outs on the bottom.
I don’t want to break any AK rules so I won’t say anything about price, you can work it out with him. But they are less than anyone else I know of.
Here is the first one he made for me and a recent one in the condition I pick them up from him.
I get nothing from this, just helping out fellow AKr’s.

Yes, definitely send me his number. McNichols metals has screens that are comparable to original. I can use his slot and slide one in. Thanks!

These look great! I've been looking for awhile for my 400, and have had no luck. Would love to connect with him.

If that guy doesn't work out contact me. I have had a guy build a cabinet for my Fisher 202T and ship it from Missouri. It may be the same guy, but he does good work and is reasonable and does the metal screens also.
