Fisher 400C New filter cap kit from Hayseed

Anyone ever order the 3 cap kit from Hayseed for the 400C preamp? I got the customer to get just the 2 main caps as I can use 2 1000uf/50v on a terminal strip for the DC filter for the heaters.
Well the main cap only came with 3 terminal mounts to the chassis. All the can caps on this preamp have 4 tabs. Wonder if anyone else has seen this.
I emailed them yesterday, I think their engineer goofed on this one. I have ordered lots from them before and never had an issue.

The 400c came in 4 versions.
400c
400cx (7247 drivers)
400cx (12AT7 drivers)
400cx2

The 400c (original version) came with a 4 section, a 3 section and the 2 section (bias control cap). This is what's listed at Hayseed.

All other versions (CX with 7247's, CX with 12AT7, and the CX-2) have TWO 4 section and a dual. You have to tell them which version of the 400c you have. Then use the manual's parts list to itemize each cap ie:

for the CX-2 (C32, C33, C34)

Screen grab this post and send it to hayseed and ask them to place in their database, and add the 400cx with appropriate notes, and the CX2 to the purchase listings.


Your customer has either a 400-Cx (one of 2 flavors) or a 400-Cx2.
 
His is for sure a 400C, 4 section, 3 section and a 2 section. Hayseed goofed on the 3 section making it smaller in diameter and only having 3 ground tabs.
 
Sorry, I misread your original post. Yeah they goofed on the diameter of the 3 section. I've been getting caps from them for going on 10 years now and never got one that was wrong size. They'll make it right.
 
Ya just waiting to hear nack from them. Wish I had a way to make a small adapter, but everything I have here is 4 tab. The cap is the correct value..looks stupid in there with just the 2 tabs pushed in.
