Fisher 4080 Dual Power Button

I found this at a thrift store for $25. I had to replace the 8 track belt but everything seems to work so far but I loose the rear speakers when I push the 'Dual Power' button. Anyone have any idea what the Dual Power button function? Thanks for looking.

That's a quadraphonic unit, so it has R/L outputs for front and rear speakers. I strongly suspect in "Dual Power" mode it uses the amplification of both front and rear amp stages to double the power output in two channel (front only) mode. So, having no output to the rear speakers in Dual Power mode would be normal operation. Some of the later Sansui quadraphonic receivers had this feature.
