Just got a nice 500-s unit and it sounds AMAZING with my 8ohm Burnhoe Acoustics. Ideally, I'd also like the option to send the signal to my studio board to listen through cans/record/stream. I am able to do that right now with a rca switch out the record out, but when I do it cuts the main output speaker dramatically, and im worried it's not being driven properly. Or it might damage my tubes in the long run. Are there any other ways of sending my signal to two different outputs?

The record out on these is a high impedance source. It needs a buffer between that and anything with an input impedance less than a few hundred K. Also depending what you're trying to capture here it may not actually do what you want. The record outputs are usually upstream of the tone controls and definitely upstream of the power amp. About the only circuitry in the Fisher that would be feeding them is the phono preamp. At that point its just a very hot switch box and phono preamp.
**edit** found the schematic. there is a single triode in each channel between the selector switch and the record output. Input runs to the selector switch, to 1/2 of either V11 or V16, out to the record jack, then on downstream to the tone controls and such.
If you want the whole "tube flavor" thing, what you probably want is a speaker level to line level converter. That also will get around the whole high impedance thing, and put the whole unit in the chain.
