Fisher 500c Output Transformers

Sending it to a transformer business for rewiring. This is what I feared while contemplating an antique tube amp buy. TRS in Maine.
 
Bumping thread. May be cheaper to purchase a parts quality/ as is receiver that includes transformers. Transformers can be removed, along with other parts as needed. The chassis etc can be resold for a net cost of much less than just purchasing the transformers from a reseller, or commissioning a rewind.

Yes, thanks. I agree. I've been on the lookout, first, for a matching transformer for around $100. Some of them seem to go for about $80. Just have to make sure it's the right one. I also have my eye out for a parts unit but people want so much these days, I hesitate to shell out what's required. If I found one for less than $500 with a case in good condition, I'd probably go for it.
