Fisher 500C Serial Numbering?

Question Regarding Fisher 500C Serial Numbering . . .

I have two Fisher 500C receivers.

One is serial # 48xxxL
The other is serial # 77xxx AM

(Where the small “x” digits are merely placeholders for purposes of this conversation.)

Does anyone know what the “L” in the first serial number and the “AM” in the second serial number might designate or signify?

It's been discussed in the past(See Fisher stickies on forum) but noone seems to know what the suffix means.
