So, I just picked up a very nice condition Fisher 500C. Very good cosmetics, some work has been done on it, I'll know more when I get it on the bench. Hope to share some pics when that happens.
However, it has arrived with a broken tuner drum. That is, not the heavy metal flywheel, but the plastic / bakelite drum with a spring that fits onto the actual tuner shaft and has the string wrapped on and attached to it. It is shattered beyond repair; and the spring may be gone as well. Looks like it happened before and someone repaired it with JB Weld. Which has now failed.
I looked on the 'bay, and some other sites, maybe it comes up occasionally but I can't find one now. Does anyone have a suggestion for how I could source this part?
Next is the actual stringing part of the exercise, which may well generate additional questions!
Thank you!!!

Thank you in advance!
