Fisher Console amp speaker hookup

RuSsMaN

Pudknocker
Two amps in question. Fisher Chassis 51 and 61.

Just making sure, before I put these on the variac with a speaker (load) connected...

Are the black/yellow leads the proper wires for speaker output?

Cheers,
Russ

Model 61 first....

I can't tell by the pics for sure but it appears so. Other than that when bringing an amp up on a variac you need to pull the power tubes for the 40V to 90V stages and don't need a load. When you do the 90V to 110V with the power tubes in, you need the load. According to Boyle the caps will not reform correctly with the power tubes in, or at least not as well. This could make a difference in how long the filter caps last after you start to use the amp.

sweety are the out put trannies going to those leads?
then yup! one side tranny and one side ground is what you should see?

hope this helps? bet cha that the other swith conection is wired there also. just trace them underneath.
