Fisher Control Plug for 500-B??

I might finally be delving into tubes. I put a bid on a Fisher 500-B that looks immacualte, but it's missing the control plug. How hard is it to find one of those? Also, are those restoration kits on ebay any good?

According to the schematic pins 1 &3 and 6 & 8 must be jumpered together. This is the same as the "U" jumpers on the 500c. It would be very easy just to solder jumper wires on the inside of the chassis.

The plug is unnecessary since there is no modern function. Like the 500c it is not preamp out - amp in, like a modern amp.

If you have a unit which works without the plug I would think that someone has already done the bypass mod.

Just pulled one of mine to take a look, and you nailed it.

Just jumper pin 1 to pin 3, and pin 6 to pin 8, and you're good to go.
