Hi to all, love this Forum. I just received my rehabed 200B and the dial glass foam gasket is gone. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Seems without it the 2 lamps leak light out the front sides of the glass. Also, dial lamps were replaced with fuse lamps, I have a few sets of original festoon lamps off a 500c, will they fit on this 200B? I'm trying to keep this as original as possible.. Any help here sure would be appreciated and thanks!

Go down to the HOME Depot or Lowes, and get a roll of the smallest stick on black foam weatherstripping they have. I think it's 3/8 x 7/16 or something like that. Cut a couple strips to fit. Save the rest for other projects (FISHER's preferred).

As for the festoons, don't know. You can try one while you've got it open for the weatherstripping.

Thanks Larry, This 200B is beautiful cosmetically, chassis is clean enough to eat off of,13 new caps and all new lights..my only problem is the dial lights bleeding into the dial since it has no gasket. The faceplate is champaine in color and it received a full alignment....hope this will work well with my 202B amp..same seller...also restored. I have learned to be be picky after being on this Forum and reading posts...you all on here have helped me alot. I paid 400 for this 200B and 800.00 for the 202B..hope I ddint pay too much...thanks..

decided to send the 200B back, Microtune isnt working correctly and the dial glass gasket issue wasnt disclosed prior to purchase...sigh...sure am dissapointed!

Fisher microtune is a exclusive.... known only to the Fisher FM 1000 and the FM200B If you google it, it might help Cheers!

You mean that you canceled your buy...

The Microtune function is surely cool but doesn't work correctly neither in my case and that's not a big deal for me (it works perfectly at our cottage but not here in our apartment, go figure!).

As for the gasket, I did the hardware store trick too as mine was completely dried and destroyed.

I have new gasket material on the way, hope it will be ok. I kept the tuner and love it . As far as the Microtune, it locks on a station and keeps it fine, used to think when you took your hand off the tuning knob is when it kicks in, might be wrong. 200B has afc 1 and afc 2, trying to figure that out..lol

Gasket material arrived today and is great..will install this weekend, when I can figure out the way to post pics I will....god bless to all!

Gasket material installed, cleaned dial glass very carefully as well the faceplate..looks awesome..Happy Memorial Day to all...god bless!

IIRC AFC 1 and AFC 2 is automatic fine tuning lock or sensitivity control (defined as local on aftermarket automotive tuners,ie: PIONEER Supertuners). 2 different settings 1 for distant or weak stations and the other for STRONG, or Local starions. Most receivers / tuners have only 1 setting and it's automatic for the most part. Keeps the tuner locked onto a signal or frequency. If the unit is out of alignment, then it also gets checked and set.

Again, play with it on a distant station, you won't hurt anything. If it's working right, you may get the station a bit better.

Thanks Larry , this thing is working fine, was fully aligned and sounds great, very sensative, ordered a new cabinet (repro) for it today....all is well. Now off to find some Klisph Belles...my dream speakers I think...I have DCM Timewindow QED's at present and they sound good but want more "presence"..thinks that what you guys call it...

Concerning the Microtune you also can change the sensitivity at the back of the tuner. This helped me because if not it only maked klick klick klick klick..

Cheers,

Philipp
