Fisher Preference STV-9030 Satellite Speakers

Hey, I got these some time ago for a song (pun alert). I cannot find anything on them via Google--nothing. Zero. Thoughts? Fun info: They actually come with a "Superwoofer," the Fisher Preference SW-9030. See pics below. The construction and materials actually seem solid, which is often not typical for Fisher speakers. And they are screwed on to some pretty decent stands. And sound good, at least to my low-end ears! Thanks for any help out there. Note: I DID find something on the Fisher STV-9040s, and they looked VERY similar to the ones I have. Including the stands.

Quick note: They are essentially bookshelf speakers, albeit billed as satellite speakers (hence the nifty stands I suppose).
 
Is the SW-9030 powered or passive? If the latter, it's very likely that these were part of a rack system, and were not sold on their own, which is why there's not much (or any) info on them.

Yes, exactly, passive, and yes, I sort of wondered if it was part of a rack system. So I'm assuming the quality is meh at best, albeit they seem like a step up from the usual Fisher rack stuff (which I've had before, super crappy stuff).

Is it possible they sold the STV-9030s on their own as well, and gave them the STV-9040 number to differentiate them a bit from the rack version? Seems likely.
 
Side note: Those are Definitive Technology Mythos ST tower speakers in the background, I need to get one looked at, the integrated, powered subwoofer doesn't power up. Not looking forward to lugging that guy to the repair shop, what with the granite base and airplane-quality aluminum housing--super heavy and awkward to move.

Call (don't email) Definitive, they might be able to get you a replacement amp for less than the cost of repair. There have even been cases (reported here on AK) of them offering a replacement gratis, even though the speakers were out of warranty (although I believe that was before the company was purchased by Sound United).

Small bookshelf systems with 6½" woofers typically have low end response rating between 60Hz to 100Hz. STV-9030's low end response of 150 Hz suggests they are designed specifically to be satellites. There's likely a largish series capacitor in the crossover blocking bottom octaves reserved for the separate bass unit.
