Fisher Receiver Ratio Detector IF Transformer

Hello -

The Ratio Detector IF Transformer used in the Fisher 800-B, 800-C, 500-B, 500-C, 400 units all appear very similar.

I am curious , since I have only been able to obtain two used ones.

What is the difference between Fisher Partnumbers ZZ50210-9 , ZZ50210-9AX and
ZZ50210-9AY ?

Would you have the actual physical pinout of this transformer can ?

Fisher has a somewhat mysterious use of suffix letters on their part numbers: sometimes they can identify a complete characteristic change to an otherwise physically and use/function identical component (i.e., the 400 receiver output transformer), while other times, it identifies little more than insignificant internal construction or mechanical changes, as is the case with these transformers. In my experience, all three of these transformers perform identically in the ratio detector position, using the same value resonating cap.

If looking into the bottom of the transformer, positioned so that the side with three terminals is at the top, then:

A. The terminal in the upper right hand corner has the green dot associated with it, and as is customarily standard, is terminal #1.
B. Immediately below terminal #1 is terminal #2.
C. To the left of terminal #2 is terminal #3.
D. Above terminal #3 is terminal #4.
E. The remaining terminal between terminals 1&4 is terminal 6.

If you look very closely, you will see each terminal is identified by number that is formed into the plastic base of the transformer.

I hope this helps!

Dave

I expect the pinouts you have provided are the same pinouts as reflected on the Fisher 500-B Service Manual Schematic S/N range 20001 to 29999. (?)
