That said....I thought I'd post this Ebay sale here, as the Seller has it listed under Furniture on Ebay....and doesn't even have Fisher mentioned in the listing heading....
I doubt anyone looking for a Fisher SA-300 would find this one.
Also mentioning it here on AK because it looks very nice and in good cosmetic condition. Looks like a super clean SA-300. The Preamp/tuner looks OK. But that is an early model Tuner and is not a stereo tuner.... but the preamp is. Kinda a plain Jane looking Console....but nice modern lines. I've never heard of the Maker...but seller has that as the main draw on his ad....so must be a name designer of some regard...?
But...the price is way out of line IMO.....$4999.00
Even with the Altec Duplex speakers.....( 601-B ) still not worth the asking price....
Certainly must have cost a pretty penny, back in the day!
If you're looking for a top of the line, nice Fisher Amp and a complete Console to go with it....and you're in Illinois....the seller is taking offers.
I think around $2000 would be top dollar....so even getting it at that price would not be much of a bargain....after restoration costs...
