fisher speaker id?

anybody recognize these speakers? there is no identification on the cabinet but they look like Fisher to me.

The woofers work but the tweets are silent...maybejust need a new capacitor but I'd rather upgrade them. I'm thinking about installing a different tweeter/crossover/binding posts just because.

The acoustic suspension cabinets are solid, heavy, veneer and can be refinished to look quite nice I think.

I have to say that they do not read 'Fisher' to me. Fisher used a different method of closing the cabinet backs, and did not counter sink the tweeters on two-way speakers of that vintage, to my knowledge. Also, those appear not to be the stock tweeters in any case, as they are square in a round hole and have two screws holding them in. The woofer does resemble a Fisher of that early 70s era, so I can see where you're getting 'Fisher' from. But I am guessing they're not. Can you pull a woofer and check the codes on the magnet, if it has any?
 
I'd say home built or home rebuilt. Not a bad job overall.

There are only 2 screws in the tweeter and both drivers appear to be mounted with flat head countersunk screws when they should be mounted with pan head. I doubt that anyone like Fisher (even in the 70s) would use those terminal strips either.

Pulling the woofer and looking inside at how the crossover is assembled might tell more.

Dunno, but I'm still guessing not Fisher. The woofer code, 127, doesn't seem to be something I can find. However, it looks like a CTS, which is code 137. Could it be that?

The underside of the speaker cover does not look like it was done at a factory. I agree that it looks like someone redid these speakers.
 
If they've been redone once, they can be redone again. I'm going to experiment with these and see what I can scrounge together from spare parts laying around. I'll keep the cabinet and woofer but trash the tweets.
