I have a vintage set of Fisher STV-724 speakers. I recently noticed that the mid-range speaker for one is not functioning. I hooked the “bad” speaker to the left channel wires to determine of it is working or blown... it was working fine. I removed it and the connections are solid, also removed the other mid-range speaker and hooked the “bad” one up to test and the speaker is working fine. There is some connection or other issue with the one speaker, but they are not easy to open, glued/sealed in the back. I’m not really sure what to even look for if I were to get it open. I’ve had these for decades and would love to keep them. No they aren’t super high-end, but they perform well with my system and I’d hate to have to part with them. Any suggestions or tips on how to open it without damaging the cabinet? What would I be looking for? Any help is greatly appreciated!

If they're what I think they are, the non-destructive way in is to remove a woofer and stick your head in unless you can see the the crossover with the offending (yet working) driver removed. Maybe you can get us pics of the crossover?
Fisher made crappy crossovers. They just don't seem to last. I'm willing to bet you've got a snapped lead on one of the components in that bad speaker.
