Anyone know of a tech in the Western North Carolina vicinity with experience working on the Fisher 500C? I had been using mine and then blew an output tube and since replacing it, the replacement tube redplates. I imagine its a bias issue. Seems like the logical solution would be to make an upgrade to be able to bias the output tubes individually; however, I am a relative newbie to vintage audio and have no ability to make such an upgrade on my own.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This piece of equipment is ideally the one that will power my main system for the forseeable future. It sounded amazing before the tube blew.
