Fisher X-202 Rebuild

Lol, well amp sounds great! However, in addition to the tuner having it's own discrepancies, the turntable, a BIC 960, is inoperative due to a broken belt :). Parts on order!!
 
great restoration thread. Is there any info in it about replacing selenium rectifier? I am needing to possibly replace mine but I can't read schematic so needing help.
 
script56. I gave you the location of the rectifier on the x202 along with the replacement part number on the tube forum thread you posted on. If you would, lets keep it all in one thread. Start a new thread and we can work on yours strictly on your own thread.

I don't mind this question being posted in this thread. I'm more than willing to share the components that I used for the rebuild. I can say at this point that they have proven stable and reliable. The amp still sounds GREAT!


The rectifier I used in this project is a 4A bridge rectifier. The specific one I used is RS405M Made by Rectron.

I am not sure if posting a link directly to Mouser would be allowed in the forum, so I'll refrain from doing so, but that was my source.
 
The reason I asked him to start his own thread is it gets confusing with multiple people presenting multiple problems (even on the same unit) and the replies get confused as to who you are replying to. 1 thread to one specific unit helps everyone keep it all straight. A specific questiion ie: what rectifier did you use would have been more appropriate. About the only links not approved by the mods is ebay and CL unless they are in the Dollars and sense forum. Parts links are good to go.
