All my tube gear, including Fisher, plays the phono louder than the high level inputs.

No insult intended but are you using the low level phono input with the eq switch in phono position?

Hi guy's

I'm using the low level inputs mibag and to westy both the Fisher and Scott
the phono is lower than the line inputs, I think it's time to change the wiring
in my Rega tonearm, it's a mess anyway, so it's time.

Just a guess, maybe the cartridge has low output.

Steve

You might be right, it is getting ripe and it may be time for a change.
I have it for a long time. plus I've been swapping tubes around and
so far the tall plate Sylvania's sound the best in the V1 and V2 of the
Fisher.

I like those (I think the common terminology) is pinched plate Sylvies.
Once upon a time I used to huff and puff if they weren't all Telefunkens, but over time I've come to appreciate others. Sylvies are comparatively cheap and plentiful. They also have sky high gain and transconductance. I've also come to appreciate the waffle plate RCAs. Just think . . . they're from our own back yard.

Are V1 and V2 the phono or all preamp function positions in that integrated amp?

I think it's Phono and linestage together and V3 and V4 is for tone controls.
and I had those Telefunkens in there and it sounded nice but there wasn't
enough gain there so the Sylvania's are staying in.
