Be willing to fail and try again.
I have the opportunity to pick up a nice looking Fisher X202b that appears to have mostly original tubes for 5 Benjamin Franklins. I know the power supply has been worked on a bit and "it sounds great" but that's about it. Unfortunately I can't go see it in person or do any further testing.
I already have a Fisher X-100-B in my colelction and I'm wondering if this is a massive overlap in terms of performance and sound, or if they are enough different to warrant the purchase and added time/expense of fully refurbishing the 202B.
Thoughts?
Is this too good of a price to let pass?
